Gameplay

This game is the last question arc in the series named “Higurashi no Naku Koro ni”. It consists of the shortest period of gameplay compared to the previous arcs. This game’s storyline centers on the experience of an investigator of the Police Department in the metropolitan city Tokyo named Akasaka Mamoru, the protagonist of this game. The player plays the protagonist who is on a mission to rescue a government official’s grandson who is under hostage. At first, he tours around the village “Hinamizawa” with Rika who makes him confused in a festival at the village.  She gave several predictions of disappearance and death about his future as well as the village. He finds a way to contact his wife Yuki but later realizes that his contact with the outside world is cut off. But later to his is misfortune he returns to Tokyo to meet his dead wife at the hospital. Five years later, Akasaka creates a book called “Higurashi When They Cry” which details the sorrow and tragedy that was earlier mentioned by Rika.
